DFB VISION for the coming years

The Bohemians fans' association (DFB) was founded more than 15 years ago in response to the clinical death of our club. We did not want to accept the end of football in Vršovice, so the DFB was one of the main initiators of the rebirth of Bohemians football, a story that is unprecedented on a global scale. A story which we can be rightly proud of.

All the non-football battles that we and the club have fought (and there have been quite a few) have cost a lot of money. The main activity of the newly established association was to raise funds. Soon seven-figure sums of money were flowing into our club and this is still ongoing now.

Direct financial support of the club has been the main mission of the DFB from the beginning until now, but in the future it must not be the only activity. We are aware that currently professional football cannot function without financial stability, however, due to the actual financial and shareholder power of the DFB (which is also reflected in the positions achieved within the club's management) we must and want to support activities that will contribute to this gradually and indirectly.

This is not a completely new approach, as fan care and tradition-maintaining activities have already been carried out in the previous period, but we want to deepen and strengthen our efforts in these areas in the future. After all, it is the fans and their money that contributes to the financial strength of the club and the DFB. If we support activities, such as the planned reconstruction of Zdeněk Danner's grave, which will contribute to the deepening of the football club's reputation, we will also support efforts both to attract new and retain existing supporters of the club. We hope to achieve the same result with the support of all fans, whether members of the association or not, by helping (even financially) in organising sports, social and fan activities or by specifically supporting existing fan clubs and creating favourable conditions for the establishment of new ones.

A separate theme is exerting pressure and providing support to the political representation with the clear goal of a new stadium for the Bohemians football team. A stadium that meets the criteria for participation in European competitions and is located on the same site as the existing Ďoliček stadium.

A separate agent is the exercise of shareholder rights within the club. Unlike the average shareholder, our mission is not to maximize profits. This would be contrary to the purpose of our association as we perceive it. We see our mission as guarding the traditions (colours, name, logo, mascot, stadium, etc.) and guaranteeing that any future investor is first and foremost serious so that administration of the club is sustainable in the long term and the crisis situation as it was at the beginning of 2005 cannot be repeated again.

Our name itself clearly refers to the fact that we are fans. Therefore, one of the DFB's activities, and by no means the last, is the care of the fans, whom we see as an integral part of the club. So once the fans and the club are there, it is necessary that the fans receive unbiased information from the club, both about the financial health of the club and the sporting situation behind the scenes. However, this does not mean that it is our ambition to manage or otherwise drive the sports department. We just believe that the fans who identify with the club are also the ones who are willing to work for the club and take care of it.
