KVĚTNÁ 1794
Founded in 1794 by Prince Alois I of Liechtenstein, the Květná glassworks is one of the oldest continually operating glassworks in the region.
Its location was carefully selected in the heart of beech forests near Uherský Ostroh, close to the Slovak border. Situated in the village of Strání, an area rich in high-quality glassmaking sand, the glassworks—equipped with two melting furnaces—provided jobs for locals as well as workers from other Liechtenstein estates, Slovakia, and Austria.
